Using the briefcase solar charger Generating your own power with the solar briefcase is very easy.  Open up the case and place it into direct sunlight.  The panel is adjustable so find the best angle to maximise the power output.  Simply move the metal supporting rods to adjust the angle of the panel (position 1 – approx. 40º is usually best in the UK). Once in position and attached to your battery select the appropriate voltage.  There are two settings: set the switch to either 12V to charge 12v batteries or to 24V to charge 18V or 24V batteries.  The briefcase is supplied with various adapters including battery clamps to attach the solar panels to your 12V battery.
