They should be able to assemble the complete kit in around 10 minutes for that all important sense of achievement. Its mCore controller is Arduino compatible and can be programmed either from the Arduino IDE or using the mBlock graphical programming tool (for Windows, Mac) which is based on Scratch. Once programmed, the bot can be let loose to be run autonomously by your software. With its Bluetooth module attached, the mBot can be remotely controlled from a Bluetooth capable laptop, or using the included IR remote control. In fact infra-red can be used to "talk" between mBots to coordinate their actions. Use the bot's sensors to measure the light level or distances (ultrasonic), follow a course using the line following sensor, make noises with a buzzer and give feedback with an RGB LED. The 2mm thick aluminium chassis is attractive and strong, but better yet it's compatible with Lego Technic parts.
